Sharp's Brewery was founded in 1994. Within 10 years the brewery has grown from producing 1,500 barrels annually to selling over 35,000.
The Sharp's Real Ales are now known nationally and are renowned for their quality and distinctiveness.

The following is a list of Sharp's Brewery's Real Ales that we have stocked or are coming soon.
Spring MildPercentage: 3.5% ABV | Units: 2 per Pint A contemporary take on the traditional british Mild. Five specialist malts and golden oats are combined with spicy & refreshing Northern Brewer hops, then lifted with the late addition of gorse and star anise. |
Cornish CoasterPercentage: 3.6% ABV | Units: 2 per Pint A golden bitter with a citrus and hoppy taste. Light in the mouth, with a earthy finish. Good session bitter. |
6 Hop IPAPercentage: 3.8% ABV | Units: 2.2 per Pint 6 varieties of hops are used in total, including a variety grown in Cornwall by the Eden Project. This combination gives the beer a real hoppy punch to the aroma and flavour, supported and balanced by a sweet body, and a dry, bitter and lingering finish. |
Doom BarPercentage: 4% ABV | Units: 2.3 per Pint The aroma of Doom Bar is an accomplished balance of spicy resinous hop, inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a perfectly balance and complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malty notes and a subtle yet assertive bitterness. |
Red Ale (Oak Aged)On Sale Now!Percentage: 4.1% ABV | Units: 2.3 per Pint Sharp's Red Ale is brewed from an all-malt grist including amber malt for biscuit character, crystal rye for an intense red colour and a real depth of flavour. The hops are the classic English variety Northdown for bittering and the beautifully fruity Cluster hop from the US for aroma. Maturation over Cornish oak gives the beer a wonderfully rounded flavour and adds an earthy note in the mouth. |
Honey Spice (Naturally Hazy)Percentage: 4.2% ABV | Units: 2.4 per Pint The original 2009 Sharp's Honey Spice. A naturally hazy wheat beer, infused with citrus hops and cornish honey. Part of the Sharp's Seasonals series. |
Honey Spice GoldPercentage: 4.2% ABV | Units: 2.4 per Pint Five varieties of hops are combined with an excellent Cornish honey and subtle spices including Alecost (used to flavour beer before hops in the Middle Ages). This combination gives Honey Spice a delicately spicy, citrus and sumptuously bittersweet flavour designed to refresh the palate during the warm summer months. |
Eden Pure AlePercentage: 4.3% ABV | Units: 2.4 per Pint Hops dominate the aroma of Eden Pure Ale complemented by the light fruit esters. In the mouth again hops are the centrepiece with dry bitterness and a hint of malty sweetness. The finish is dry and hoppy serving to stimulate and refresh the palate. |
Winter Berry AlePercentage: 4.3% ABV | Units: 2.4 per Pint Winter Berry is a delightfully moreish ale designed to brighten any winter's day...dark ruby in colour with ripe fruit notes and a sweet but refreshing taste. The seasonal ingredients of rosehip and sloe are grown in Cornwall and are complemented by the use of Galena hops and a variety of malts to make this a truly mouth-watering beer. |
Sharp's OwnPercentage: 4.4% ABV | Units: 2.5 per Pint Taste Notes from Head Brewer Stuart Howe: "Rich roasted and malty notes are key to the aroma of Own with some light hop tones. The mouthfeel is one full of malty sweetness complimented by a good measure of hop bitterness. The finish which is sweet and malty is lingering but not satiating. This is a product packed with flavour." |
NadelikPercentage: 4.6% ABV | Units: 2.6 per Pint Brewed from special malts, Styrian Golding and Brewer's Gold hops Nadelik is designed to feature all that good about the festive season. The aroma is a balance of spicy almost piney hops and sweet inviting candy floss and toffee notes. In the mouth Nadelik is appropriately full and succulent but avoids the sticky over-sweetness of some seasonal ales. Biscuity malt and sweet fruit features strongly with a good measure of moreish bitterness to stimulate the tongue and palate. The finish is warming and bittersweet leaving a lingering delicate bitterness that implores the drinker to stay for another. |
Will's ResolvePercentage: 4.6% ABV | Units: 2.6 per Pint Butterscotch, caramel malt flavour with some floral earthy hops and moderate bitterness. Mild, sweet caramel malt, butterscotch and fair fruity in aroma. |
Special AleComing Soon!Percentage: 5% ABV | Units: 2.8 per Pint Delicious fruit aromas blended with inviting roasted notes. The mouth feel is succulent with dried fruit, malt and delicate hop bitterness. The finish is lingering and warm with fruit and malt notes. |
