The Dog Page / Dog Friendly Accommodation

We are very welcoming towards dogs of all shapes and sizes (and their owners!). We love to see dogs enjoying the pub and garden as much as we do!

Dogs are more than welcome throughout the Castle Inn (on leads please). You are welcome to bring your dogs with you into either bar for a meal or for a drink (or more!). For those not wishing to be come inside with their dogs, we have plenty of seating outside and in the beer garden.

Our Dog Friendly Accommodation

We are very "dog friendly" both in the pub and hotel, and we are gaining a great reputation for our high level of care towards dogs visiting with their humans! Dogs, which can stay for free, are allowed into the bedrooms, and of course throughout the public areas (except one of the dining areas, unfortunately not everyone loves dogs!).

For breakfast we lay your table in the bar areas so that you can eat with your dogs (as seen in the many photos below!) and they can have their sausage!

There are many walks straight from The Castle Inn - there's no need for the car to take your dog for their morning and evening strolls. The Map & Directions page shows just a few of the walks surrounding the inn.

We were recently featured in the "Where to Stay 2009" guide by the Your Dog Magazine, we were independently assessed and we are the only B&B in Dorset listed! We also recently achieved the finalist stage (out of four) for ThePet.net's Awards 2009 for Best Hotel/B&B in the UK!

Local Veterinary Hospital
Outside tap for muddy paws!
